Ben Fletcher, Director of the IFB, said:
“Defendant solicitors are a critical component in the insurance industry’s fight against fraud. By opening IFB membership to the supply chain, including solicitors, investigators, loss adjustors etc, we can start to see the bigger picture and ensure we are tackling fraud holistically. IFB membership has been strengthened significantly in 2017 with the introduction of the Affiliate Model and addition of new insurer and broker members.
“The industry, alongside its trusted supply chain, will continue to dedicate the time and resource required to root out fraudsters and ensure honest policyholders are protected.”
“As the first Defendant firm to obtain both a conviction for contempt of Court [Kirk v Walton] and to achieve a strike out for an abuse of process in a gross exaggeration case [Fari v Haringey for Homes], Plexus Law has long been at the forefront of defeating fraudulent claims. We are delighted to become an IFB Affiliate member to add to the great work already being done. We look forward to contributing to the wider insurance community in the ongoing fight against fraud.”
