Prison time handed to fraudsters involved in Derbyshire Crash for Cash scam

Following a joint investigation between the IFB, its insurer members and Derbyshire Constabulary, eleven people have been sentenced for their role in a crash for cash scam which saw the gang of fraudsters staging collisions in order to make exaggerated or bogus insurance claims.

Following a joint investigation between the Insurance Fraud Bureau (IFB), its insurer members and the City of London Police’s Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department (IFED), Nigel Fox, 49, of Diadem Grove, Kingston Upon Hull, was sentenced at Hull Crown Court to 12 months in prison.

Shamed former Police Officer ordered to pay back £367,772 for crimes
