Ghost broking and 'Crash for Cash' are the two of the most common types of insurance fraud that IFB investigates.

Ghost broking investigations have increased by 67% since 2015. Our Head of Investigations, Jason Potter, explains more about the scam, the consequences of being involved and tips on how to beat the fraudsters.

'Crash for cash' costs the insurance industry £336m a year. Fraudsters stage or deliberately cause collisions, sometimes with innocent road users, for the purpose of financial gain.
